Pregnant, Grumpy & Sore
Poor Mrs Levee.
For the past couple of days, she’s been experiencing contractions on and off. Sometimes these are painful and sometimes not, but they are raising expectations in the house!
Could this be the early stages? A couple of false starts and then labour begins? Vroom. Vrooooommm. Vvvvrrrroooooommmmm! We both have our fingers crossed…
Until Mrs L remembers that it’s the weekend. The hospital where baby #3 will be delivered doesn’t do epidurals for pain relief on weekends, so she’s currently playing down the significance of these contractions. “Oh, they’re not so bad at the moment! Probably just a false alarm…” In reality, the contractions are neither strong enough or regular enough to be the onset of labour.
So, already having this pelvic pain, my poor suffering wife is being afflicted with the infrequent stabbing pain of a contraction. Let me say, this has not added to her mood! Anyway, Mrs L’s away for an early night to rest up. No Big Brother to keep her awake, so she’ll hopefully get some rest and go into labour tomorrow!
