What’s The Northern Irish Word For “Vomit”?

Boke. Boak. Boake.

Is it the more European ‘boque’? Of is it more Oirish, as in ‘mBhokhe’?

Hell, whatever it is, Baby D’s good at it. He can babble and spew bile out his mouth simultaneously.

Unfortunately, this means he’s destined to become a politician. Your prayers at this difficult time are appreciated.

  1. Devine intervention cannot be assured, even for one as innocent. But Cheer Up, the babe can apply to join when they are 16yo, even the older babes are welcome.

  2. I think it’s boke.

But I’m more interested in the origins of “Dirty Baste”; As in, “Mr Levee is fascinated with big boobs, the dirty baste!”

Is it a colloquialism of “Beast”?

    Any thoughts?

  3. Think this is bad ? In a few years time you will have teenager D :)

  4. I’d spell it “boke”

This too, shall pass. Though that was damn all consolation at the time!

  5. that was damn all consolation at the time!

You must have a tremendous memory ;)

  6. MR:
    I don’t forget easily…

  7. “mBhokhe” - hmm, sounds like the name of a Zulu warrior.

    It’s “boke”. Obviously.

  8. I wondered is the word shite plural for shit? :-)

  9. Shite IS the plural for shit, and yes Baste is derived from Beast.

A bit like “Crater” (i’ve never needed to spell it before)
As in “Wud ye look at that wee crater with the arse out of his trousers”
It’s a derivative of the word creature. I suppose the American version would be “Critter”
